The weekend of July 4 has arrived and hopefully you can enjoy some time (and lots of good food) with friends and family. The Verge Deals I’ve rounded up the best deals happening in honor of America’s birthday, but today I want to give you a smaller, fresher selection of deals that might not last the entire holiday. Frequent site visitors may recognize one or two, but I’ve tried to check out a few new deals for you. Nice weekend.

Sonos is hosting another of its sales events for refurbished audio products (in like-new condition and backed by a one-year warranty), featuring the range of the most affordable and expensive hardware. Starting at the low end, the Sonos Roam sells for $139, lower than the $169 price you’d pay for a new model. The only downside here is that the color choice is limited to black or white. Read our review.

Sonos Roam (renovated)

The Sonos Roam is a truly portable Sonos speaker with a rugged design built to withstand the elements. It also features wireless charging and supports AirPlay 2, Alexa and Google Assistant.

There are a ton of other products available at great prices at Sonos, and I suggest you check them out. I’m going to give another refurbished Sonos gadget a shoutout for being the best price I’ve seen on it. The first-generation Sonos Beam soundbar costs $191 in black, white or shade gray† This model originally sold for $399, but it’s been harder to get stock since Sonos replaced it with a second-generation $449 model.

Comparing the two models, there’s not much else apart from the more capable HDMI eARC (compared to HDMI ARC in the Beam, eARC has bandwidth for the HDMI 2.1 spec) and the addition of Dolby Atmos support. My colleague Chris Welch said it’s not worth upgrading to for current Beam owners. Read our review of the original model.

You may have seen my colleague Sean Hollister write the bold headline, “GPU Shortage Is Over”, and based on the GPU availability over the past week, it certainly seems to be true. The prices of graphics cards that have been so (so!) hard to find for nearly two years are falling and becoming easier to find in stock. We knew this day would eventually come, but it’s great to actually see it happen.

There may be no better sign of this than that Nvidia’s own Founders Edition cards are easier to buy — at least, some. We’ve been able to add Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti Founder Edition to the cart at Best Buy since Thursday night. It’s only $599.99, the price it was always intended to sell for. I know, maybe not the kind of deal you were looking for. But it’s a bargain compared to paying someone too high a price. Read our review of the 3070 Ti. Alternatively, you can get it for $100 less grab Nvidia’s RTX 3070 for $499.99 at Best Buy.

Microsoft’s Xbox Series S console is $30 off at Woot for the next four days (unless it sells out before then). Normally $299.99, you can buy one for $269.99. This console does not have a disc drive, but is otherwise functionally similar to the more powerful Series X console. Instead of focusing on 4K resolution gameplay, it shoots at 1440p, which still looks great. It’s just a solid, budget-friendly Xbox that won’t take up much space in your entertainment center. Read our review.

Microsoft Xbox Series S

The Xbox Series S is smaller than the 4K-compatible Xbox Series X, but it can still handle the same digital games, albeit at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 QHD.
