PBS’ biographical drama serial Victoria first premiered on the network in August 2016. Created by Daisy Goodwin, the series revolves around the life of the 19th-century monarch of the British Empire. It gives a gripping account of all the trials and tribulations the lady had to go through to rule the greatest empire in the world. The show’s fourth season was teased in 2019. However, fans are still waiting for the return of Victoria Season 4, even after about three years. So, is the show still on cards? Let’s find out below-
What to expect from Victoria season 4?
The third season of the series that followed revolved around the Chartist movement that was widening in 19th-century London. The increasing pressure forced Victoria to leave. And go to Cornwall for a while for her safety. Upon arrival, however, the rift between Victoria’s estranged sister Feodora Victoria and her husband, Prince Albert, widened. This put their marriage in jeopardy. Elsewhere, London was a major problem with the outbreak of cholera, which claimed many lives, while Lord Palmerston did everything in his power to undermine the Queen.
Upon its return with Victoria Season 4, the show will pick up where the previous season ended. Not many details are known about the storyline of the fourth season. Because so many of the events in the third season revolve around the Great Exhibition, it seems that Victoria Season 4 will start around the year 1851. the central characters will die.

The third season of the historical drama series was released on PBS on January 13, 2019. Meanwhile, even before the third season premiere, cast and crew members started talking about the possible future season, hinting at Victoria Season 4. While interacting with media writer, Daisy Goodwin discussed some details about the script of Victoria Season 4 , and called it an “absolute humdinger”. She didn’t stop there, as she also dropped a potential spoiler stating that a major character in the series could die in the fourth season.
But even more than three years after the previous season, no concrete details are available about the shooting and production of the next season. Therefore, it is very difficult to determine the possible release date of the next season in the absence of confirmed information. However, some sources claim that the next season could collapse by the end of 2022. But at the moment it is nothing more than just speculation.

The cast of the PBS drama series is led by Jenna Coleman in the lead role of the titular character. Meanwhile, Tom Hughes appears as her husband, Prince Albert, Adrian Schiller as Mr. Penge, Jordan Waller as Lord Alfred Paget and Brodie, as Tommy Wright. The series also features Nell Hudson as Skerrett. Francatelli plays Ferdinand Kingsley and Anna Wilson-Jones plays Lady Emma Portman.
In an interview, Jenna discussed her fondness for her on-screen character. She said, “Actually, I could play this part until I’m well into my 60s”. And there are also reports of her returning to the role. However, Thigh is also Jenna’s final season playing the role of the British Queen. When the series returns for Victoria Season 4, other prominent cast members in the series are also expected to return in their respective roles. On the other hand, the next season may also introduce us to some new characters.
