The original Apple TV+ series Roar recently released its first season and now fans are eagerly awaiting Roar Season 2. The series achieved huge success in just a few days and now everyone is eagerly awaiting the future of the series. The series is an anthology series. It consists of the various female protagonists who explore different topics such as gender roles, autonomy and identity. Now let’s see what the future of the series will be.

The anthology series, created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, consists of eight unique stories. The show casts lines on different types of women dealing with their lives. Each story explores the experiences of different women and how they navigate their lives. Furthermore, it is about how they face challenges and overcome the situation. The show also sheds some light on what it means to be a woman as she explores other aspects of their lives in a darkly comedic way.

Has Roar Season 2 been renewed yet?

Apple TV+ recently released Roar on April 15, 2022, and fans are already clamoring for Roar Season 2. However, it’s only been four days since the series hit the streaming platform. It usually takes some time for Apple TV+ to rate the viewership that the series has received. Based on the intended viewership, the streamer decides whether to green-light the show or not. While many people loved the show, it only got 5.3 out of 10 positive reactions on IMDb. But it doesn’t mean the streamer won’t return with the next chapter. Apple TV+ hasn’t canceled the show yet. So there’s still hope the show will return for a second season.

Roar Season 2: Who’s in the cast?

Well, the series is an anthology series as each episode is based on a new woman. So it’s quite a challenge to guess who will return for the second run. Furthermore, there is a slim chance that the cast from the first season will return to play all-new characters. These include Michael James Lazar, Fivel Stewart, Alison Brie and Brandan Hunter-Davis. Nick Kroll and Simon Baker may return. But it may be that new faces are joining the series for the second time.

Apart from them, the series executive producer Nicole Kidman starred in one of the episodes titled “The Woman Who Ate Photographs.” So there’s a chance she’ll return in the second season as well to play a powerful role. In addition to them, Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Per Saari and Bruna Papandrea will return as executive producers on the show. Allie Goss, Steve Hutensky, Jodi Matterson and Cecelia Ahern also return as executive producers.

Roar Season 2

What to expect from Roar Season 2?

The first season contains eight episodes that are loosely based on short stories from Cecelia Ahern’s book. The first episode follows the disappearance of a woman, while in the second season, a woman finds herself in a traumatic state where she finds bite marks on her body, but she has no idea how she got them. In another episode, someone killed a woman and her ghost tries to solve her own murder mystery.

If Roar is renewed for the second season, the creators will probably pick new stories from Cecelia Ahern novels. From now on it’s pretty hard to guess what’s going to happen. But the book itself has 30 short stories. This means that the show can last up to four and more seasons.

Roar Season 2

Roar Season 2: When will it come back?

The streaming platform has not renewed the show for its second season. However, we can expect the network to return soon for its next run. If renewed in mid-2022, it will go into production sometime in the fall. So we can expect Roar Season 2 to return sometime in mid-2023. Stay tuned. TechRadar247 keeps you informed.
