The excitement of fans of this movie has reached another level for this thing that Sony showed the first 15 minutes of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at CinemaCon 2022.
The annual Las Vegas Convention of Theater Owners launched the show at the Colosseum. Sony hosted that show to celebrate the success of Spider-Man No Way Home, but the audience was treated to the first 15 minutes of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The movie is in development so the animation of that movie is not that good. But fans loved the first quarter of the movie because it was full of fun in the first quarter of the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie.
What’s in the first 15 minutes of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?
The first quarter of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a lot of fun at first. The movie begins with Earth 64, the universe in which Spider-Woman alias Gwen Stacy(Hailee Steinfeld) lives. We see that after some actions she comes home and we know that things are not going well. Her father, Captain George Stacy of the NYPD, is convinced that Spider-Woman is damaging the city and tries to arrest her. Meanwhile, Gwen has had to keep her identity a secret, knowing her father won’t understand. Then a call goes out on the radio from officers reporting that there has been an attack by Vulture at the Guggenheim Museum, and Captain Stacy heads out the door. Then Gwen adjusts in her bedroom and stands right behind her father.
In the next scene, Spider-Woman swarms with her father and his colleagues and enters the museum to save the day. However, the Vulture is not Earth-64’s Adrian Toomes, he is an Italian accent and sepia coloring. They fight for a while and then it looks like the Spider-Woman is dying, then a strange portal opens up above them. From this portal, Miguel O’ Hara (Oscar Isaac) is the Spider-Man from the future of Earth-928 (whom we first met in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse post-credit scene). It turns out Miguel is mad at Gwen for cleaning up a mess she’s responsible for, which is the explosion of Kingpin’s collider in Earth-1610.
While Spider-Peoples fight the Vulture, Gwen tells the future Spider-Man that she and her friends saved the multiverse through their actions, then says that a door was left open for other villains to move through reality. , like this new version of Vulture aka Adrian Toomes. Then the future Spider-Man enlists the help of his assistant Layla (Greta Lee) to get him some backup, and she arrives as another hero from the portal Spider-Woman of Earth-404 (Issa Rae). Then she rides a motorcycle through the museum and joins Miguel and Gwen in the brawl with Gwen especially shocked by the fact that this mystery woman is fighting crime while she is five months pregnant.
Then the fight turns into a police helicopter for a moment and it will have a dangerous crash, but Gwen, Miguel and Jessica saved the pilots and interweave the helicopter before it hits the ground, and at the same time they can stop Adrian Toomes. As things cool down, Captain Stacy tells Spider-Woman that she’s been arrested for the murder of Peter Parker. Gwen has no options, she opens her mask and tells her father the truth. But it makes no sense that he wants to arrest her anyway. Then Miguel creates a force field and puts Gwen’s father there. Miguel is ready to leave, but Jessica says they can’t leave Gwen, who tells them she doesn’t know what to do. Miguel tells her to join the team, then tosses the interdimensional device.
Meanwhile, in Miles’ Universe, Morales (Shameik Moore) is very late for a meeting between his school principal and his parents. Miles hopes he can participate in the Quantum Physics program at Columbia University, but his mother worries that he may be outside of Brooklyn when he is actually still in New York. While Miles pleads for the pursuit of his dreams, he is suddenly struck by his spider sense and has to leave. His father follows him out the door when he gets a distress call. Miles mom left school alone, and she drops a hard truth saying, “He’s lying to you – your son. He’s lying and I think you know.” Then the footage ends.
