Auto Parts Manufacturer Uno Minda Ltd on Thursday, it said its subsidiaries that make alloy wheels and switches will expand their production capacity by spending 300 crore.



According to the company, its subsidiary Minda Kosei Aluminum Wheel Private Ltd will expand its 4W alloy wheel capacity by 60,000 wheels/month to 240,000 wheels/month at its factory in Bawal, Haryana.

The additional capital expenditure for the above-mentioned capacity expansion will be Rs 190 crore.

The expansion is expected to be commissioned in two phases, with an initial phase of 30,000 wheels/month in December 2023 and the remaining phase in June 2024.

uno minda said his other subsidiary Mindarika Private Limited (MRPL), is setting up a new factory in Farrukhnagar (Gurugram, Haryana) to meet the increased demand for 4W Automotive Switches from Indian and International customers.

The project cost to set up Phase 1 of the Farrukhnagar plant is about Rs 110 crore, which will be completed in September 2023.

Phase 1 of the plant will produce partial products that are used for the production of automotive parts.
