The world’s largest pre-seed accelerator, the Founder Institutehas opened its spring program to aspiring entrepreneurs in Australia and New Zealand.

The 16-week trans-Tasman part-time program follows the recent visit to Australia by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as part of a trade mission.

Sydney-based Founder Institute co-director and Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center Ambassador Phoebe Zhang said the institute connects the two countries through a 100% online program designed to provide both local and international support to local emerging startups.

“Founder Institute has always been about the founders and is the number one place in the world to turn ideas into fundable startups and startups into global companies,” she said.

“The upcoming Spring 2022 program will be run in cities across Australia and New Zealand to host the Founder Institute’s virtual startup for entrepreneurs.”

On August 2 there is also a free online startup information evening give founders the chance to meet and talk to people from accelerators, venture capital and business advice to learn more. Those involved include Zhang, Ben Chong of Right Click Capital, the founder of Aussie Angels, Cheryl Mack, Mick Liubinskas of Climate Salad, Fishburners CEO and VC partner Alan Jones, and William Buck CEO Jack Qi and more than a dozen speakers.

Phoebe Zhang said that today’s economic ‘new normal’ is full of reshuffling industries and new problems that need solutions, so now is the time for budding entrepreneurs to take action.
