He can capitalize on his sister’s success as Emma has a net worth estimated at over $80 million.

Early life and cameo appearances

While Alex was born in Paris, the family later moved to England where he and Emma grew up. He lived largely away from the limelight and his proficiency with the French language started to wane as he became more accustomed to life in the UK. His life started to change when Emma wanted to pursue an acting career. Although he didn’t share the same interests, he supported her efforts when she started training and appeared in a few stage productions.

Emma’s fame rose significantly after she was cast as one of the lead characters, Hermione Granger, in the “Harry Potter” film series. While the producers initially didn’t think the film would be the global phenomenon it is today, many of the cast members would become close as family.

More cameos and modeling

The crew also involved other family members such as Alex, who was to appear in a cameo as a student in the first movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. Based on JK Rowling’s novel of the same name, the film follows the story of the titular Harry Potter as he embarks on magical adventures with his best friends.

The first episode was a huge critical and commercial successand became the highest-grossing film of 2001.

They later followed it up by continuing the book series, with “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”, and Alex had another cameo in the film as a student. Based on the book of the same name, the 2002 film continues the adventures of Harry Potter during his second year as a Hogwarts student. In the film, he discovers that the Chamber of Secrets in the school has been opened, releasing a monster. The film, like its predecessor, was a huge good luckand became the second highest-grossing film of the year, behind only “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.”

For the next two “Harry Potter” films, Alex was busy with other projects, so he didn’t appear. He later returned to make a brief cameo in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” – in that episode, Harry Potter and his best friends go through their fifth year at Hogwarts, dealing with the aftermath of the return of the dreaded wizard Lord Voldemort.

Burberry campaign

In 2010, media reported that Alex and his sister had a campaign for the fashion brand Burberry. He initially had no intention of modeling for the brand, but while looking for something to wear to a ‘Harry Potter’ premiere, he was approached by the staff who quickly signed him up for a modeling job.

Emma was there to help him as she has more experience with modeling projects. He notes that there is a lot of tension during model auditions because everyone is on edge to get a job. It didn’t seem like he was going to continue modeling after that performance as he showed no interest in worrying too much about his physical appearance.

Private life

After Alex’s performance with Burberry, there is no news about him. He has been more private about his career and personal endeavors so nothing is known in terms of romances. There are social media pages under his name, although they appear to be fan accounts and have nothing to do with him.

His sister is known as a universalist, although it is not known if he shares the same beliefs.

Sister – Emma Watson

Despite only appearing in plays before her big screen debut, Emma Watson flourished in her role as Hermione Granger, earning her an international stardom. While working on the franchise, she got many other projects and after the “Harry Potter” movies ended, she starred in other projects.

In the 2010s, she appeared in notable films such as “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, “The Bling Ring” and “This is the End”.

In 2017, she played the character Belle in the live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast,” and also appeared in the film adaptation of “Little Women,” which was nominated for an Academy Award.

Emma Watson’s recent projects

In 2014, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awarded Emma the British Artist of the Year Award. She has not yet taken on any new film projects after her performance in “Little Women”. While working on her acting career, she continued her education, and obtained a diploma in English Literature in 2014.

She also modeled, such as for campaigns with Lancome and Burberry.

Emma is very outspoken about human rights and gender equality – she is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, and is responsible for helping to launch the HeForShe campaign, which aims to make genders work towards gender equality. She has been very active in women’s rights work and recently established a legal advice line to help women who have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace.
