Climate technology packed a strong third quarter, with three of the top four stock deals, including the whopping $1 billion Series A raised by fleet charging startup TeraWatt.
While the broader market may cool off, climate tech remains a hot ticket, with top-deal investment numbers in the third quarter surpassing the previous two quarters of this year. A total of five climate technology startups made it into CB Insights’ top 10 equity deals in the third quarter, bringing in combined revenue of $3.7 billion. That’s much more than last quarter’s $2.5 billion across eight top startups and Q1’s $1.4 billion across five top startups.
Top investments in climate technology also continued to diversify, demonstrating how deeply entrenched it is in the economy.
