We are just four days away now from the summer transfer window officially opening for business as the rumour mill kicks into high gear ahead of a busy few months.

Tottenham have already signed Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, with Antonio Conte now reportedly turning his attentions to Gabriel Jesus. According to the Italian media, Paulo Dybala has turned down approaches from both Arsenal and Tottenham.

Former Nottingham Forest star Djed Spence and Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin are also linked with moves to Tottenham, while the Magpies are in for Moussa Diaby as they eye a busy summer themselves.

Liverpool are reportedly targeting Darwin Nunez and Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic as they prepare to replace Sadio Mane, who Bayern are preparing a second bid for. Chelsea themselves are in for a winger and are reportedly the favourites to land Ousmane Dembele.

Arsenal are facing a potential battle to land Jesus from Manchester City, while they continue to chase Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans and are vying with West Ham to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko.

David Carmo and Ruben Neves are key names on Manchester United’s transfer radar, with Erik ten Hag looking to complete deals for Dutch duo Frenkie de Jong and Jurrien Timber. Matheus Nunes is another player linked with Old Trafford, though Man City are also believed to be keen.

Elsewhere, the wantaway Robert Lewandowski could stage a holdout at Bayern Munich, while Barcelona want to sign Mo Salah and Raphinha and Matthijs de Ligt has refused to rule out leaving Juventus.Gareth Bale revealed he has received “loads of offers” but is in no rush to make a decision over his future.

Klopp on Milner renewal

Jurgen Klopp has revealed details behind some of the conversations he held with James Milner before the midfielder signed a new Liverpool contract on Monday, vowing there is “more to come” from the veteran.

“Typically, the discussions we had around extending his contract were centred on: what kind of contribution do we see him making as a player?” Klopp told the club’s official website.

“My answer to him was the same I’ll share with supporters: we don’t limit it. We just want the same from him again, because that’s not possible to replace. He can still do it and we still need it.

“So I’m grateful he answered the call and agreed to give us the extra year of his extraordinary career. More to come.”

Kelleher coy on future

Caoimhin Kelleher will consider his club future in the coming weeks once he returns from international duty with Ireland.

The 23-year-old is Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper behind Alisson, though starred in the Carabao Cup final earlier this season, and he remained guarded when asked about his long-term future at Anfield.

“I’m not sure on what’s happening yet,” Kelleher said.

“I’m still finishing this season and then we will have conversations after that to see what happens.

“Obviously I need to play these few games and see what happens with these and maybe decide after that.”
