International football might be dominating the footballing agenda as things stand but there is an awful lot going on in the background.
The transfer window does not even open for another few days but, as ever, the proverbial rumour mill is churning.
Lots of big clubs and looking to rebuild, Manchester United in particular are set for another overhaul, with Christian Eriksen thought to be a target for Erik Ten Hag after his impressive Premier League return.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are said to be prepared to make Gabriel Jesus a huge offer to join them from Manchester City after they missed out on Champions League football.
Over in Spain, Barcelona – who have already made moves in the free agent market – have reportedly told Mohamed Salah they will look to sign him when his Liverpool contract runs out in 2023.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Manchester United will press ahead in their attempts to sign Christian Eriksen.
The Dane had a transformative effect at Brentford after returning to football and will soon be a free agent.
Undoubtedly a top class player on his day, Erik Ten Hag is understood to have made him a key target as he looks to rebuild at Old Trafford.

Serge Gnabry latest
Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer says the club are still in talks with Serge Gnabry over a new contract.
The German international is entering the final year of his deal and has been linked with Liverpool, as well as former club Arsenal, with Bayern expected to sell this summer if they cannot convince the winger to pen a new deal.
“We’ve been in talks with Serge for a long time,” Hainer said. “Unfortunately we haven’t reached an agreement yet. There are still some different expectations, but we’re working on it.”
Man United want Eriksen
The Mirror are reporting that Manchester United have entered the race to sign Christian Eriksen this summer.
The Dane made a superb return to football after joining Brentford as a free agent midway through the season but only signed a short-term deal until the end of the campaign.
Brentford are desperate to secure his services on a permanent deal but are set to face competition from a number of Premier League rivals.
Bergwijn in line for Ajax switch?
Talks are continuing between Tottenham and Dutch side Ajax over a deal for forward Steven Bergwijn.
That’s according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who says that the winger is open to the move, though no fee has yet been agreed between the clubs.
Bergwijn was used sparingly by Antonio Conte, who is looking to make significant improvements to his squad this summer, having already signed Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
Farke gets Monchengladbach gig
Former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke is back in management.
The German was sacked midway through the season with the Canaries rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table but it does not seem to have harmed his stock because he has been named the new Borussia Monchengladbach boss.
West Ham reportedly launch bid to sign Armando Broja
West Ham are reportedly ready to test Chelsea’s resovle and make a bid to sign Armando Broja.
The striker excelled on loan at Southampton last season, scoring 9 times in 38 appearances in what looked like a breakthrough campaign.
According to Football Insider, the forward has emerged as West Ham’s big striker target as David Moyes looks for an alternative to Michail Antonio.

The Daily Telegraph claim Liverpool still expect to command a decent fee in the transfer market for Sadio Mane.
The forward has suggested he’d be up for leaving Anfield this summer amid links with a move to Bayern Munich.
Still, Liverpool aren’t likely to make that an easy exit.

According to the Daily Telegraph, PSG are considering a shock move for Jose Mourinho.
Thought to be done at the top level, Mourinho could replace Mauricio Pochettino, just as he did at Tottenham.
Roma could dig their heels in but the money on offer at PSG, as well as the chance to conquer another country must surely be tempting for the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’.

What a move this would be.
The Express claim Liverpool are keen on Chelsea star Mason Mount and have opened a dialogue in regards to signing the England star.
Contract talks at Stamford Bridge are said to have stalled amid all of the turmoil off the pitch with both Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp’s side eager to test Chelsea’s resolve.
