The summer is upon us as Premier League clubs turn their attention to building new squads for the new campaign ahead.
Just as the season finishes, the transfer window opens and – as ever – clubs are expected to be busy. Coming off the back of a season played in front of fans, it could well be a big summer.
Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, while Chelsea are said to have added Raheem Sterling to their post-takeover transfer wish list. Tottenham are also believed to be watching Sterling’s situation at City.
Ruben Neves offered a cryptic repsonse when asked about his future amid links to Arsenal and United as Thomas Tuchel prepares to get to work on Chelsea’s transfer plans with their takeover soon to go through.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are believed to have scouted PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare as they continue to add further options into their squad.
On the continent, Barcelona are thought to be ready to make another move for Leeds United’s Raphinha, while Seville will NOT be taking up their option to sign Anthony Martial on a permanent basis from Manchester United. Teammate Marcus Rashford, meanwhile, is said to want to stay and prove himself to Erik Ten Hag.
Neymar – who has been linked with a move away from PSG – has been blasted by Barca president Joan Laporta.
The biggest story perhaps is the claim that Robert Lewandowski has agreed a three-year-deal to leave Bayern Munich for the Camp Nou.
The window opens on June 10 and runs until 11pm BST on September 1.

Marc Guehi interesting Tottenham
The Daily Mail claim Tottenham have taken note of Marc Guehi’s impressive start to life at Crystal Palace.
Since leaving Chelsea, the defender has worked his way up into the England squad and could be a target for Spurs, who have just been on the end of a £150m cash injection as they attempt to keep Antonio Conte at the club.
From France: Only Newcastle could afford Neymar
While Newcastle have not splashed the kind of cash many would have expected them to under Saudi Arabian ownership just yet, L’Equipe suggest they are the only team Neymar could genuinely consider as an option.
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly open to the idea of selling the Brazilian this summer despite the fact he only signed a new deal last summer.
Though a huge name, none of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester City or Chelsea are thought to be keen, while he is still too young to go to the MLS.
Given the way in which Newcastle have spent their newfound wealth, perhaps they should be added to that list.
BREAKING: Thomas Tuchel could be in line for £200m war-chest under Todd Boehly at Chelsea
Sources close to Todd Boehly say he is determined to return the club to the summit of English football and has even set his sights on bettering Abramovich’s unprecedented success. He is said to be acutely aware of the relationship between average wage bills and Premier League positions and is going into the club with his eyes open.
Boehly has already agreed to invest an extra £1.75bn into the club on top of the £2.5bn to buy out Abramovich. That will be pumped into the first team, as well as the stadium, women’s team and the academy.
But it is Tuchel’s squad that requires immediate attention, with Chelsea finishing 19 points adrift of champions City, after seeing their title challenge fall away at the midway stage. That could see Boehly provide as much as £200million this summer for two centre-backs, with Jules Kounde the top target, cover at wing-back, as well as potential additions in midfield and attack.

Could Christian Eriksen follow Fraser Forster into Tottenham?
The Danish playmaker has been in excellent form for Brentford and, while they want to keep him, Eriksen’s future is unclear.
Spurs are understood to be preparing to back Conte by giving him a war chest to overhaul the squad and making concessions to his desire to sign experienced winners, counter to the club’s policy of signing young players with sell-on value.
Southampton’s veteran goalkeeper Fraser Forster is among their targets, while they are interested in re-signing Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.

Barcelona to make formal offer for Leeds star Raphinha?
Arsenal eye Everton pair
Arsenal’s search for a new striker has reportedly taken them to Goodison Park.
Goal claim both Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are admired with Everton potentially needing to sell.
Both yet to reach their prime years, it would be fascinating to see how Mikel Arteta could develop them as his young side prepare for life in the Europa League once more.

Major changes afoot at Southampton
The Sun claim Ralph Hasenhuttl is fighting to keep his job after the club’s poor end to the season.
With new owners in, Saints could reportedly make a major change to their management structure in an effort to stave off any lingering relegation fears.
