Two more executives are reportedly on their way at Apple. According to BloombergVice President of Online Retail Anna Matthiasson leaves the company and Chief Information Officer Mary Demby retires.

The two women had important roles at Apple; Matthiasson ran Apple’s online store, and Demby managed the technology that ran that store, as well as Apple’s services and manufacturing. Bloomberg reports that Karen Rasmussen will now take charge of online retail, but says it is unclear who will replace Demby. Apple did not immediately respond The edge‘s request for comment on the executives’ departure.

Demby and Matthiasson are just the latest in a string of senior officials to leave the company in recent weeks. Evans Hankey, who has been in charge of industrial design since Jony Ive left the company in 2019, will step down sometime around April, and chief privacy officer Jane Horvath has reportedly announced internally that she will also be leaving the company soon. There’s also the case of purchasing vice president Tony Blevins, who was fired last month for rude comments he made in a TikTok video, although that’s a different situation from the other departures.

While the departure of a few people in senior management isn’t necessarily a sign of a mass exodus, it’s worth keeping an eye on in case it becomes a trend. It’s also interesting that, except for Blevins, all the executives who are leaving are women. Apple has big goals for the diversity of its leadership team, but the departure could make it harder to achieve those goals. According to the company’s websitewomen made up 31.4 percent of the global leadership team at the end of 2021. Apple’s report for 2022 should be out around March.
