ddie Hearn believes Tyson Fury is a “bluff merchant” after the WBC heavyweight champion hinted at retirement following Saturday night’s win over Dillian Whyte.

After a sixth-round knockout in front of over 90,000 people at Wembley, the 33-year-old revealed “this might be it” having promised wife Paris he would call an end to his career following October’s win over Deontay Wilder.

Whyte, meanwhile, broke his silence on Monday and claimed he did not want to see Fury retire as he wanted a rematch.

While Fury has enjoyed one of the most remarkable careers in modern history, potential fights against either Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed bout are mouth-watering prospects.

Speaking on DAZN, Hearn believes the self-proclaimed Gypsy King’s “biggest fights” are still to happen.

“Tyson Fury is very popular at the moment, so anything you say negative about him isn’t gonna go down very well,” he said.

“But Tyson Fury’s a great bluff merchant. And he ain’t retiring. The biggest fights for Tyson Fury haven’t happened yet.”
