Verizon is giving subscribers of its cheaper 5G Start unlimited plan a nice upgrade: Starting June 16, the plan will include 5GB of premium mobile hotspot data at no extra cost. Right now, the plan doesn’t offer any hotspot data at all, and it’s the only unlimited plan from Verizon that it doesn’t. Verizon spokesperson Ashley Colette says: The edge it’s added automatically, meaning 5G Start subscribers won’t have to make any changes to use the data on their end.

You can view all of Verizon’s unlimited plans on the company website† 5G Start is most affordable at $35 per line for four lines, but you also have to sign up for paperless billing and pay automatically to get that rate. (If you only have one line, the plan costs $70 per month with paperless billing and automatic payment.)

Verizon renewed its unlimited plans earlier this year. If you’re interested in 5G Start, be aware that Verizon’s only unlimited plan doesn’t include access to the company’s faster Ultra Wideband network. To take advantage of this, you have to pay for a more expensive plan.
