How great would that be if we could use 100 percent of our brains? The idea may sound far fetched for real life. Nevertheless, it makes for wonderful fiction, be it Bradley Cooper’s Limitless or Scarlett Johanson’s Lucy. CBS’s Limitless series is a spin-off of the 2011 movie of the same name. However, it’s been about seven hours since the first season premiered, and fans are still wondering what Limitless Season 2 is. So let’s discuss what we know about it.
CBS’s Limitless is a spin-off of the 2011 film of the same name starring Bradley Cooper. The series follows Brian Finch. He is a struggling but hardworking, struggling artist. Brian is exposed to NZT-48, a distinctive drug that allows people to use the full capacity of their brains. This makes Brian the most intelligent man in the world for 12 hours. He can remember everything that ever happened in his life. With this impeccable mind, Brian begins to move forward in his life.
After baffling the US Senator, Eddie Morra offers him only an antidote to the disastrous effects of the NZT drug. When he gets the immunity drug, Brian begins to use his enhanced abilities to help FBI agent Rebecca Harris solve crimes. However, Brian must keep his consumption of NZT a secret from the FBI.
When is Limitless Season 2 coming?
The first season of Limitless premiered on CBS on September 22, 2015 and ended on April 26, 2016. Now, as for Limitless season 2, here’s what we know: The series was canceled by the network after the fifth season ended. Fans were stunned by the news of the cancellation, given the wildly positive reviews of the first season. Although the first season ended on a cliffhanger, the network won’t be bringing it back for another season.
Prior to the show’s cancellation, season two of Limitless was being watched. Its creators sent it to Netflix and Amazon hoping to pick it up, but no one was interested. Even though the show’s viewership plummeted, it still had respectable numbers when it ended, but this wasn’t enough to convince another platform to give it a shot.
What can happen in Limitless Season 2?
The first of the CBS series, Limitless, eventually turned his truly mind-blowing take on the 2001 film into a procedural, which wasn’t the most imaginative option to take. The public’s awareness of the NZT drug and Morra’s disappearance in Season 2 of Limitless would have completely changed the dynamic.
In the season one finale, we saw Sands execute a strategy involving Canada’s Northwest Passage, while Boyle and Harris failed to save the diplomat who had summoned Sand to kill. Meanwhile, Brian and the CJC work on Sands’ entire NZT lab using information gained from the killer’s confession. As the lab is invaded, Brian realizes that Piper was there, but is now gone. After Brian returns to his parents’ house, he discovers that Piper has endless NZT immunity shots. However, she needs to get to work so that the wrong people don’t get their hands on the cure.
That said, we’re not quite sure at this point what the plot will be for Limitless Season 2. But we can assume when the series will return. We can apparently see Finch operating to solve crimes. On the other hand, Edward Morra steps up the stairs to become president, which may also be a storyline in the second season.
