With Luke being expelled from school and MJ’s betrayal, The Nonames were not doing well at the end of Rebelde’s first season. But since Netflix is bringing the show back with Rebelde Season 2, we can expect things to change in the next season.
Netflix’s Rebelde, created by Pedro Damián, is an adaptation of the Argentine TV show called Rebelde Way. The Mexican teen drama series follows a group of students at Elite Way School after a mysterious group, The Lodge, begins to threaten students.
What could happen in Rebelde Season 2?
The show’s first season revolved around the misadventures of MJ and her friends at the boarding school. They formed The Nonames and were determined to join The Battle of the Bands. But the disorder quickly spread when an evasive group called The Lodge began threatening the students.
The Nonames were allowed to compete in the championship at the end of the first season. Because of the politics of the school board, they expelled Luke instead of Sebastian, the real head of The Lodge. Then, in an unexpected twist, after Emilia dumps Sebastián, MJ decides to perform with him instead of her band. Finally, The Nonames reveal the bargain they got from the school board and the reality of The Lodge onstage before their performance.
When Rebelde Season 2 returns from Netflix, it will focus on the aftermath of the Battle of the Bands. The season will show if the relationship between MJ and Nonames improves after she betrays them. Meanwhile, the season will also reveal Luke’s fate after he was wrongly expelled from school. The future of the romantic relationship between Andi and Emilia can also be explored in the third season. In the upcoming season 2 of the Netflix series, The EWS will witness more student drama, musical rivalry, school board politics and interpersonal issues.
Who will star in the next season?
The cast of Netflix’s Rebelde includes Azul Guaita Bracamontes in the role of Jana Cohen. Andrea Chaparro plays MJ and Franco Masini as Luka Colucci. Meanwhile, Giovanna Grigio stars in the show Alejandro Puente as Sebastián, Emilia. Alo, Estefanía Villarreal plays Celina Ferrer and Leonardo de Lozanne plays Marcelo Colucci.
In addition, there are also Sergio Mayer Mori as Estebán Torres, Jeronimo Cantillo as Guillermo Álvarez and Lizeth Selene as Andrea Agosti. When the show returns with Rebelde season 2, most of the main protagonists will return to their roles.
