Glass repair has never been so much fun. The second season of Canadian reality show Blown Away premiered on Netflix in January 2021. Blown Away is a Canadian reality television series that debuted in February 2019. In each season of the show, ten skilled glassblowers compete in competition. The contestants are assigned a unique task in each episode that they must complete within a time limit. These tasks include everything from making glass perfume bottles to creating beautiful works of art by repairing glass.
With each episode, one of the contestants is evicted and builds up to the season finale with just two finalists. The pieces created by the participants will be judged on their design concept, gallery presentation and overall body of work. And the eventual winner will take home a huge $60,000 prize.
Blown Away also contains parts in which the participants talk about their lives and travels. Some episodes also include tasks related to the participants’ personal life experiences. For example, some candidates consider glass blowing their way of expressing themselves. The show is a bit like History TV’s Forged in Fire, except for the part that the contestants make glass art instead of steel weapons.
Blown Away Season 3: Will It Return?
The entire second season of Blown Away dropped on Netflix in 2021. In addition, the series also released four special Christmas episodes in November. As for Blown Away Season 3, however, there is no confirmation yet on when or if there will be a third season. Block away is hosted by Nick Uhas, an actor, Youtuber and skater. Nick has been in Big Brother before. He has also appeared in shows such as FabLab and Brain Storm. Katherine Gray, the famous glass artist from Canada, is the head judge of the reality series. In addition, the show also features a special guest jury in each episode. These guests are specialists from different fields with in-depth knowledge of glass art.
Speaking of the Blow Away season 3, based on the format of the show, each season features a new set of ten contestants. At the moment we don’t know who the contestants will be for the third season.
