How well does the Made in Abyss manga sell? Each volume of Made in Abyss sells approximately 120,000 copies. Made in Abyss manga sales are fine, but it’s only a single volume per year, which isn’t ideal.
In 2021, the sale of more than 100,000 copies is not bad, but it is not a massively popular series.
How many copies does Made in Abyss have in print? On May 30, 2019, 3,300,000 copies of the Made in Abyss series were in print.
It is outside the top 200 most popular manga series of all time.
How much merchandise is there for Made in Abyss? There are over 50 figurines, which is a nice number. There are also over 500 pieces of merchandise made for this series.
Less than 20% of all anime series get more than this.

Made in Abyss Season 2 Release Date
As of December 2021, Made in Abyss Season 2 will have no release date other than 2022, even if it has been confirmed. However, the release date for the second season of Made in Abyss is likely to be July 2022.
A new season of Made in Abyss was only a matter of time, so the Made in Abyss anime isn’t over yet.
This series makes a lot of money, but unfortunately there is not enough source material for a third season for now.
So I think it’s safe to assume we’ll get a release date for Made in Abyss season 3, but it won’t be for at least three years.
After a new season is confirmed, it takes an average of 6 to 12 months for it to be released. That’s why July 2022 sounds about right.
If the release date was April 2022 I believe Kadokawa would have revealed it in the latest trailer.
I wonder if the studio Kinema Citrus can keep the quality of the anime’s first season.
Many fans want the second season of Made in Abyss to be a solid adaptation, so let’s hope Kinema Citrus can deliver.
