And even though the time difference means the action won’t kick off until 11.30pm on Sunday evening, taking things through to the early hours of Monday, it’s set to be a big night out in London town, with both Americans abroad and NFL-loving Londoners staying up late to catch the game.
Its popularity means that when it comes to screenings around the city, though, many are already fully booked. If you’ve left it late to secure your place, and are looking for somewhere to watch it other than your living room, here are a few great spots with space remaining.
Be sure to book as soon as you can , because we’d be surprised if all the tickets haven’t been snapped by Sunday night.
Anyone who’s seen the beer-chucking bedlam that ensues whenever Boxpark shows England playing at a major tournament will know that big sport events here can get a bit lively. The Super Bowl screening should be a similarly fun one, with DJs, cheerleaders, giveaways and pints upon pints of American beer. Shoreditch has sold out, but there’s still space in the Croydon and Wembley branches.

Hard Rock Cafe
It doesn’t come much more American than the Hard Rock Cafe, which will be serving up its game-day menu — nachos, wings, sliders, cheese fries — and plenty of beer in the run up to and during the match. Competitions will run during the night with tickets to London-hosted NFL games in the future, if you’re feeling lucky.

Any aficionados who appreciate some good analysis (or any relative newbies who need to up their knowledge levels) should head to London Bridge venue Omeara, whose screening will be hosted by hosts of NFL podcast Inside The 5. Food will be taken care of by Breddos Tacos, serving all sorts of Tex-Mex delights, and there will be themed drinks at the bar.

This East End boozer, known for its excellent coverage of live sport, will be hosting a good old fashioned lock-in for the Super Bowl. The bar will stay open all night, and hearty grub will be served for punters to keep them going into the wee hours.
