DJ Khaled Announced News of Aalam Khaled’s Birth at the 2020 Grammy
Aalam Khaled was born on January 20, 2020 in the United States. His father Khaled kept the name of his second son, Aalam, a secret for a while. He first revealed it publicly during his acceptance speech after winning best rap/sing performance at the 2020 Grammys in January.
During the ceremony, Khaled said:
“I want to thank my beautiful Queen Nicole [Tuck]† I just had a new son a week ago. It (Aalam) means ‘the world’ in Arabic.”
Khaled at the Grammys also said the reason he went by the name Aalam was because the Holy Quran used the nickname on several occasions.
The Billboard chart topper also dedicated his award to the late Double singer Nipsey Hussle and hip hop.
While the Spies in disguise actor streamed the birth of his first son’s life on Snapchat, he didn’t bother to do so on his second, Aalam.
Khaled later nevertheless shared a series of photos of the process with his fans on Instagram, including the doctor who performed Aalam’s delivery. The now 46-year-old rapper shared the photo of his son Aalam on Instagram for the first time on January 29, 2020.
Khaled revealed at the time that his second son arrived at 11:42 am. Now two-year-old Aalam, the youngest child of the Platinum-certified singer, DJ Khaled, and his wife, was born on January 20, 2020.
At birth, Aalam reportedly weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. Alongside the first public photo of Aalam, where his eldest son, Asahd sits next to his younger brother, wrapped in blankets, the record producer wrote:
“Brothers! Asahd! And alam! January 20, 2020. Time 11:42 PM. AALAM 8 ponds [sic] 4 ounces. WE THE BEST! MORE LOVE, MORE BLESSINGS!”
Khaled had first announced the news of Aalam’s arrival in mid-September with a video showing his wife Nicole’s ultrasound appointment.
When announcing the news, he also addressed his first son and how he would get a brother. On Aalam’s first birthday, Khaled shared a video on Instagram with the moments during the birth of his second child.
The footage clearly showed how nervous Asahd’s father, Khaled, really was. Although Nicole gave birth to Aalam once, the hip-hop artist couldn’t contain his excitement.

Aalam’s paternal grandparents were from Palestine. They reportedly sold clothes at a flea market in New Orleans, Louisiana. Later they had a store in Orlando.

The Instagram handles also often feature their parents, Louisiana-born rapper Khaled and his wife Nicole. Aalam reached almost 90,000 followers after just three months.
DJ Khaled trademarked his son, Aalam Khaled’s name
in January 2020, TMZ reported the Greece singer DJ Khaled and his wife filed an application to trademark the then-newborn new name Aalam Tuck Khaled through ATK Entertainment, a Florida-based company.
Khaled and his wife started the trademark process just two days after the birth of their second son. The couple did the same for their eldest son and Aalam’s older brother. The trademark apparently allows the Khaled couple to use their children’s name on fragrances, cosmetics, skin creams, baby products, sporting goods, CDs, jewelry, children’s books, tote bags, clothing, watches and DVDs, among others.

Khaled, just two months old and Aalam’s father, announced that his son would be helping produce the follow-up to his 2019 album, father of Asahd, the songbook named after the first son of the Arab attack.
Khaled announced the news on his Instagram in March 2020. The then Novacanne reported that The sequel of Father Of Asahd would name Aalam as executive producer.
