Danny Glover was born in San Francisco on July 22, 1946, to parents Carrie Hunley and James Glover. Glover had been diagnosed with epilepsy since his adolescence and at age 35 he had a seizure. He had attended the prestigious George Washington High School as a child.
Glover enrolled in graduating from San Francisco State University in the late 1960s, but did not finish and was later awarded an honorary doctorate. Danny Glover was also trained at the Black Actor’s Workshop, an American Conservatory Theater.
