Season 8 of FOX’s The Masked Singer premiered on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 8 p.m. ET with a brand new episode. The reality show exposed fans to three new celebrities in disguise who entered. Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger were reinstated as judges. Ken Jeong, who tested positive for Covid-19, was unable to attend this week.

Joel McHale of LEGO Masters took Ken’s position on the panel, while legendary actor Leslie Jordan guest-judged. Sadly, this was his last television appearance before suddenly passing away in October 2022. The Venus Fly Trap, the Gopher and the Bride were announced as the three masked celebrities for this week’s “Hall of Fame Night”-themed contest.

Unfortunately, a celebrity was revealed after their first performance. The Venus Fly Trap turned out to be the celebrity in disguise to be eliminated after collecting the fewest votes from the studio audience. Fans were outraged after seeing the Venus Fly Trap exposed. Previously, fans accurately anticipated that the celebrity behind the mask was George Foreman, a former professional boxer. Read on to find out what social media enthusiasts have to say.

Fans Are Outraged As George Foreman Wins Fewest Votes In Season 8 Of The Masked Singer

Fans rushed to Twitter to express their shock that the Venus Fly Trap was the first masked celebrity of the night to be eliminated. They couldn’t believe he got the fewest votes. Some admirers even claimed to have expected it to be George Foreman under the mask.

Here are the clues and directions given to the judges by the Venus Fly Trap.

Prior to his performance, the Venus Fly Trap showed a video montage to the judges and the public with hints about who he might be. He started his clue pack by saying:

“Becoming a Hall-of-Famer isn’t easy, but I’ve done it twice. The first time was when I was in my twenties, and nobody believed I could do it again when I was in my forties, but I went down in history as one of the best in history.”

Orion’s belt, the constellation, and other items such as a lawn chair, towels, and floaties were among the visual cues in his box. There was also a flamingo, a TV guide magazine, a gold medal and a horseshoe. The Venus Fly Trap played his rendition of The Temptations Get Ready during his performance. The Masked Singer contestant gave as his clue on stage:

“I absorbed the punches and the strikes.”

The jury had chosen Mike Tyson, Bo Jackson, Charles Barkley or George Foreman as the winner. In the end, Robin Thicke was the only one who got it right.
