The Marvel Cinematic Universe may have reached its fourth chapter, with movies like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings continuation of the heroic movie franchise. One of the MCU’s original blockbuster movies, Thor, whose first installment was released in 2011, nevertheless has one more part to come. Chris Hemsworthone of the leading Australian actors will continue his role in the Asgardian God of Thunder in the next chapter, namely, Thor: Love and Thunder† Taika Waititi will direct the upcoming installment and the film is believed to have an appealing plot.

Thor’s homeworld, Asgard, was destroyed in the superhero’s previous solo film. In an effort to defeat Hela, Hemsworth’s character allows Surtur to destroy Asgard in the film. After Thanos demolishing more than half of Earth’s humans, the role of Thor is portrayed to fall prey to depression in previous two films, namely Infinity War and Endgame, which will initially premiere in respectively the year 2018 and 2019.
Thor: Love And Thunder Cast
Reportedly, Russell Crowe would portray Zeus, which is a strange story from the past, considering Thor is largely focused on Norse folklore. For example, we hear that the film will feature Natalie Portman as Thor’s former doting companion and researcher Jane Foster. It is also believed that Jane will gain some extraordinary powers and turn to the super-powered Thor. Christian Bale would portray the character of Gorr the God Butcher, the villain in the story. Gorr is a murderer in the Thor publications who wields a mythological weapon and has a strong hatred for the gods, whom he accuses of murdering his family. Actors from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie will appear in the film, including Pom Klementieff, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan and Sean Gunn, as well as Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson. The shooting of the film has been completed and will premiere on big screens in the year 2022.
Thor: Love And Thunder Won’t Be Chris Hemsworth’s Last Marvel Movie
Chris Hemsworth is the only original star of the Marvel Universe. Even if Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are out of the picture, Hemsworth is in no rush to escort them out the gate. Hemsworth was hesitant when asked if Thor: Love and Thunder could be his last MCU outing as Thor. The star further sarcastically explained that he has no plans to retire anytime soon. Natalie Portman, who is collaborating with Chris in this film, revealed that the film will hit our screens next year. The film will hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
Some photos from Thor’s set indicate that Chris will be playing a powerful character as expected. Chris has uploaded a photo to his Instagram account. Filmmaker Taika Waititi, who rocks some very amazing Korg equipment, is in the picture with Hemsworth. Since completing his debut in Thor: Ragnarok, it’s great to hear that everyone’s favorite stone warrior is making a comeback.
In short, both Chris and Thor fans are concerned, because Thor: Love and Thunder won’t be Chris’s last picture with Marvel Studios.
