Queens of Mystery is a British comedy-drama murder mystery television series starring Julie Graham, Siobhan Redmond, Olivia Vinall and Sarah Woodward. It is currently broadcast on subscription video-on-demand provider Acorn TV. Matilda Stone, played by Vinall, is a young investigator assigned to the police force in England’s Wildemarsh[6], where she is reunited with her three aunts, Cat, Beth and Jane, played by Graham, Woodward and Redmond respectively. Queens of Mystery is Acorn TV’s second all-original show. Season one premiered in 2019 and consists of three 45-minute episodes spanning three different storylines. Queens of Mystery was renewed for a second season in March 2021, with the first episode slated for November 29, 2021.

Matilda discovers several individuals with really bad intentions towards each other while investigating a murder at the Wildemarsh Wellness Retreat and a second death there. A corpse is discovered during the launch of a new art gallery where her Aunt Cat is exhibiting. Matilda’s interviews with the suspects don’t paint a pretty picture, but after her second death at the gallery, she begins to discover that they are more than they seem. Matilda investigates a robbery that resembles her own mother’s disappearance, until Aunt Jane discovers a body, turning the case into a murder case. While Matilda is on the hunt for information on the killer’s identity, there are some individuals much closer to home who would prefer Matilda not to disrupt too many secrets.
