Lewisham fighter Ellis Zorro will be among eight of the nation’s brightest cruiserweight prospects battling it out in a one-night tournament in Manchester on May 14.
The 29-year-old Zorro, who boasts an 11-0 record, including six KOs, will be up against opponents from Sheffield, Liverpool, Walsall, Watford, Darwen and Amersham at the Boxxer Series event.
Substantial prize money is on offer as well as the chance to achieve a career breakthrough. The tournament winner – as well as any runners-up making an impression – are likely to be given
opportunities to take their careers up to the next level.
The aim for those taking part will be to make their mark in the way that world title prospect Richard Riakporhe has in the cruiserweight division. Viddal Riley and Mikael Lawal are others to have caught the eye.
